Frequently Asked Questions

What is Ecoturista?

A planner for ecotourism and nature travel, with our own editorial content: destinations, attractions, day-by-day itineraries and articles, organized as a navigable collection — every place has its own page, connected to the others. Learn more on the About Ecoturista page.

Is the information reliable and up to date?

We work from official sources (parks, environmental agencies, municipalities) and each page shows its verification date. Even so, opening hours, fees and access conditions change without notice — always confirm with the official source before traveling, especially for protected areas.

How are destinations and attractions chosen?

By editorial curation: relevance for ecotourism, availability of verifiable official information, and diversity of regions and experiences. There is no paid content and no bought placement — no place pays to be in the collection.

Is the site free? Are there ads?

Ecoturista is free. Today we display no third-party advertising and use no affiliate links; if that changes, it will be clearly identified and the policies will be updated first.

How do I suggest a destination, report a correction or propose a partnership?

Through the Contact page — we read every message. Factual corrections backed by an official source are especially welcome. You can write in English or Portuguese.

How do I find what I’m looking for?

Use the search (top of the site), browse the Destinations, Attractions, Itineraries and Guides hubs, open the interactive Map, or try Find your Adventure, which filters by type of experience, state, effort and length. Every place page also links to related attractions and itineraries nearby.

May I use the site’s texts and photos?

You may quote excerpts with credit and a link to the original page. Full reproduction or systematic republication requires prior permission — details are in the Terms of Use.

Which languages is Ecoturista available in?

Portuguese and English — the language selector is in the footer of every page, and each version carries content in its own language.
